A lollipop shaped like a baby bottle's nipple, sitting in a tub of flavored powder you were meant to dunk it into. The jingle did the rest. Filed by everyone under 90s candy — which it isn't, quite.

A jingle so relentless it's still in your head, and a promotion timed to the exact moment America needed a five-dollar meal. The $5 Footlong went national on March 23, 2008, just as the recession was setting in — and the hand gesture did the rest.

The floppy-haired slacker singing cheerful songs about his ruined credit — stuck working a pirate-themed seafood restaurant, driving a beater, living with his in-laws. Experian's jingle campaign was catchy enough to get stuck in the whole country's head, and misleading enough that a 2009 law made the ads carry a disclaimer.
