Spy Kids
The movie where your boring parents turned out to be retired spies — and when they got kidnapped, you and your sibling became the heroes. Robert Rodriguez wrote, directed, and edited his 2001 gadget caper himself, packing it with jetpacks, a surreal TV-host villain, and henchmen made entirely of thumbs.
